January 2011

February 2011

Iain Kirkbright’s son, Nathan wowed crowds at the CKC Show when his £8 Koi claimed baby Champion. Just goes to show you can get a ‘champ on the cheap’.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

March 2011

We were honoured with the presence of an Italian Koi-keeping godfather. Bruno Beltrame, who had filled his Koi pond with All Japan winners – and even had a 300-year-old, show stopping bonsai tree! 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

April 2011

Koi enthusiast, Adam Byer, had had enough of his time-consuming filtration system and decided to build his own automatic solution.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

May 2011

Our previous Editor, Beckie Rodgers, gave birth to a little baby girl… already a keen supporter of Koi!

 

 

 

 

 

 

June 2011

We reported on Mark Gardener’s progress in Japan and how the Koi community had really pulled together in the wake of the Japanese earthquake and tsunami. Mark raised over £30,000 to help those in need.  

 

 

 

 

July 2011

It was the 30th anniversary for the Australian Koi Association Show.
