One of the best qualities that Koi keepers have is a fervent sense of pride in what they’ve achieved – and bearing in mind how complicated building a Koi pond can be, it’s no wonder it inspires this sort of passion. So to highlight this pleasing tendency to show off, we are happy to launch the ever-popular Koi pond of the year competition for the third year running.
It’s the perfect opportunity to show the Koi world what’s going on in your back garden, as well as the chance of winning yourself £750 credit at Hozelock Cyprio to spend on a bevy of Koi and pond goodies into the bargain.
Just as there was last year, there are two forms you can download below – one for ponds up to 3,000 gallons and one for ponds over 3,000 gallons. Simply fill in the form that applies to your pond, making sure you answer all the questions, and send it, along with a photo or two of your pond, to: Koi pond of the year 2008, Koi, Origin Publishing, Tower House, Fairfax Street, Bristol BS1 3BN.
If you’re posting your entry, make sure that you send us original photographs and not photocopies or printouts. If you’re entering via the website then please ensure that your photo entries are of good quality and large enough – a minimum of 300dpi in JPEG or TIF format. Email your digital photos to: beckierodgers@originpublishing.co.uk.
