DENVER -- Todd Helton began his farewell tour in familiar style -- by getting a big hit for the Colorado Rockies. Nike Air Max Classic BW Uomo . Helton started his final homestand with a key single in the eighth inning that helped the Rockies beat the St. Louis Cardinals 6-2 on Monday night. Charlie Blackmon had three hits and drove in three runs for the Rockies, who prevented the Cardinals from taking over sole possession of first place in the NL Central. They remained tied with the Pittsburgh Pirates, who lost 2-0 to San Diego. "We are aware of where we are," St. Louis outfielder Matt Holliday said. Matt Carpenter and Matt Adams had two hits each for the Cardinals. Helton was playing in front of Colorado fans for the first time since he announced his plans to retire at the end of the season, his 17th. He went public Saturday when the Rockies were in Arizona, and Monday afternoon the team held a formal press conference. Helton talked about his future without baseball during the day, but he was all business during the game. He received a standing ovation when he came to the plate in the first, and Cardinals starter Lance Lynn stood behind the mound and waited as the crowd saluted Helton. The first baseman was given a loud ovation in each of his four plate appearances. His night started slow, but he had a big hit during the decisive rally. Troy Tulowitzki led off with a walk against reliever Trevor Rosenthal (2-4), and one out later Helton singled to centre to put runners at the corners. Wilin Rosario singled to give Colorado a 3-2 lead. "Todd had a huge hit. That was a huge hit in that inning," Rockies manager Walt Weiss said. "I dont expect anything different. I think hes going to have a huge homestand." Helton was caught in a rundown between third and home for the second out, but Blackmon doubled to right to score Josh Rutledge from first to make it 4-2. Pinch-hitter Ryan Wheelers two-run single off John Axford gave the Rockies a 6-2 cushion. "I had a pitch that could have been a double play and it turned out to be a flare into right field," Axford said. The four-run eighth was a rare misstep by the Cardinals bullpen. "Overall our bullpen has been very, very good," manager Mike Matheny said. "They will bounce back." Collin McHugh started for Colorado in place of lefty Jorge De La Rosa, who has a sore thumb on his pitching hand that forced him to miss his turn in the rotation. McHugh allowed one run and four hits, with the only damage coming on David Freeses RBI single in the fifth. He left after throwing 75 pitches in five innings. Lynn stuck around longer and got stronger as the game progressed. He scattered four hits through six innings and didnt let a runner past first after Tulowitzkis first-inning double before running into trouble in the seventh. After Lynn retired Helton in a nine-pitch at-bat, Rosario singled and moved to third on Rutledges bloop single to right. Left-hander Kevin Siegrist relieved Lynn, and Blackmon lined an RBI single over the pulled-in infield to give the Rockies a 2-1 lead. "He throws really hard so I was trying to catch up to a fastball," Blackmon said. "I knew that was going to be a tough at-bat, just trying to battle from the start and get a good swing on it." The Cardinals tied it in the eighth on Carpenters RBI double off Chad Bettis (1-3) that scored pinch-runner Pete Kozma from second. The Rockies took a 1-0 lead in the first on Tulowitzkis RBI double. NOTES: Rockies OF Carlos Gonzalez will see a hand specialist in Cleveland this week to see if he needs surgery on his injured right middle finger. "It looks like Im going to," Gonzalez said. "I think thats what is best for my finger right now. Im thinking about the future. I dont want to continue to deal with the same pain over and over. If thats what I have to do, Im going to do it." ... Adams has consecutive multihit games. ... Rockies 3B Nolan Arenado left in the second inning after aggravating an injury to his right thumb. ... The Rockies made a donation to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund as the area recovers from devastating flooding. ... Carpenter extended his hitting streak to eight games. Air Max 2017 Bianche .Y. -- Nothing seems to phase No. Nike Cortez Saldi . Chris Heisey connected for his first grand slam and Devin Mesoraco homered and drove in a career high-tying four runs as Cincinnati took advantage of Tampa Bays depleted pitching staff for a 12-4 victory on Sunday. http://www.scarpeitaliasaldi.it/nike-air-max-2017-saldi/air-max-2017-uomo.html . SONOMA, Calif. -- Marcos Ambrose wants nothing more than to break Hendrick Motorsports four-race winning streak and his best shot comes on the road course at Sonoma Raceway this weekend. A win Sunday could earn the Australian his first berth in the Chase for the Sprint Cup championship and solidify his future at Richard Petty Motorsports. Ambroses current deal with the organization is up at the end of the season. "Im in a renewal year with Richard Petty for 2015," Ambrose said. "Im not really thinking about myself here. I just want the best for RPM. They have decisions to make ... I want to make sure that RPM are on the right path and Im going to do everything I can to make sure I help them do that." Ambrose is in his fourth season driving for the Petty organization, and his two career Sprint Cup victories are with the team. Both of his wins were on the road course at Watkins Glen. Hes still looking for his first victory at Sonoma, where Ambrose is always considered one of the favourites but hasnt managed to grab the checkered flag. Ambrose has five finishes of eighth or better in six career starts at the picturesque 1.99-mile track. "We know that the race here this weekend and in Watkins Glen, the two road races, are our best chance to win a race this year," he said. "That will automatically lock us into the Chase. Clearly theres a lot to race for at these two tracks for us. Weve put a lot of energy and effort into Sonoma." Ambrose is 23rd in the Sprint Cup standings, and there are 11 races remaining to set the Chase field. To be one of the 16 drivers, hell likely need the berth that comes with a regular-season victory. But standing in his way Sunday is the Hendrick Motorsports juggernaut, which has been unstoppable since Jimmie Johnsons win at Charlotte on May 25. Since that race, Johnson has won three times and teammate Dale Earnhardt Jr. won once. Back it up to Jefff Gordons win at Kansas and teams powered by Hendrick engines have won the last six races, including Jamie McMurrays All-Star race victory. Air Max Tn Nere. The all-time record for consecutive car owner victories is 16 by Carl Kiekhaefer in 1956. The Hendrick organization won six consecutive races in 2007 to set the modern era record and its best bet for a tie could be Gordon, who has nine career wins on road courses. Gordon is proud of his success rate at Sonoma, where hes the all-time leader with five wins. Gordon hasnt finished lower than ninth at Sonoma since his 2006 victory, a span of eight consecutive top-10 finishes. "Weve worked hard as a team to be competitive on road courses and weve had a lot of success at Sonoma. But its not an easy track to conquer," said Gordon, who grew up in nearby Vallejo. Ambrose, considered one of the best road course racers in NASCAR, still likes his chances. "My talents are really good on road racing in these big, heavy stock cars," he said. "It suits my style, suits the way I like to drive a race car. I get a lot of good feedback for the wheel. I think its a natural skill set for me." Since Petty took over sole ownership of the team in 1993, more than a dozen drivers have driven for him and Ambrose ranks among the best with two wins and three poles. His victories match the late Bobby Hamilton and Kasey Kahne. With one more top-10 finish, Ambrose will tie Hamiltons mark of 28. Ambrose doesnt focus on statistics and instead has his eye on making the Chase. "Theres pressure building, theres a chance to lock yourself into the Chase, which would make your season, you get a chance to win a Sprint Cup race, which you dont get to do very often," Ambrose said. "What I do this weekend is not try to think about it, be normal, try to relax leading into this week. The more you think about it, the worse you tend to go."
