Win! An exclusive painting by Gordon Lavender worth £400

Back in issue 140 we featured an artist called Gordon Lavender in our Koi artists series and, to celebrate the success of that feature, Gordon is offering one lucky reader the chance to bag their very own Koi painting. This prize really is priceless so if you want to impress your mates with an excellent piece of artwork, enter the competition today!
Gordon Lavender, a keen Koi hobbyist himself, is a self-taught artist from Liverpool and has been painting for 15 years. He has been described as a post-modern visual artist and loves to paint Koi in unusual situations. He usually paints in acrylics and ink and mixes traditional Japanese styles of painting with modern ideas.
The painting on offer in this month’s competition is of three Koi swimming among bamboo leaves, with each bamboo leaf representing a Koi. The painting was done in acrylics and ink on 140lb Langton watercolour paper, and measures 40cm x 31cm unframed. The painting will be posted to the winner in a secure tube with a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist himself.
