How to make a Koi pond child safe : Your Pictures

I have had my pond for a few years now, but 16 months ago the wife and I had our first child. The wife is now understandably anxious of child falling in the pond, though I think she takes it a bit too far. I was raised with ponds and never had any issues, but then I do hear of tragic stories.

I have attached a photo of my pond.

I wonder if anyone could give me any tips or advice on how best to make a pond like this child safe? I don’t want to have to sell my Koi and fill in the pond (which is the wife would prefer) so I need to demonstrate that I can make it safe.
