Koi Forum • Started early : Your Pond Build

The intention was to start in the spring but got bored of looking at the proposed site so got the shovel out:DGetting on for twenty years since my last pond so things have changed somewhat; no more black boxes filled with gravel:!:Spent long periods of time sat reading about all the revelations of how this pastime has developed and eventually came up with my plan.
Pond will be 21x8x6 (feet) with 2 BD’s and a skimmer all going to the filter shed; each line through a homemade easy and pumped into an anoxic filter 9x7x3 which gravity feeds back to pond.
Currently digging out trenches for the concrete collar/foundation/thingymajiggy; as the pond is on a slope this will be the level for the walls and then dig down to get 6 foot. Boxweld liner from there. This will be a SLOW build mainly so the wage packet can keep up with it but also going to do it all myself and I need lots of tea breaks;)
Now for the photo’s, first time used photobucket so it may all go wrong:
Pic one: What the garden first looked like when we moved in 3 years ago when first began thinking of having a pond again

Pic two: Taken from the roof when we did the chimney couple of months ago; garden ends where the tree line is

Pic three: From the roof again and arrow shows where the pond will be
