Another vote for weatherproof sockets. As an electrical engineer, I cannot get my head around why Blagdon and EA decided to fit electronic circuit boards in these things, or fit differently rated switches. When I built my pond double sockets were £70 a piece, so I made my own box – connector blocks, switches, and fuse holders. Oh, and room for timers etc. Keep it simple.
Weatherproof Doubles are less than £15 a piece, no cutting plugs off, quick to swap stuff……It’s a no brainer.
