Re: New Polyurethane Sealant For Ponds
Is this the very same as i’d advertised for you earlier on, after i’d bought a box of 12?
I’ve used it to seal the joints around my coping slates.

Reading the Tech Data, it can be used on ponds (liners, bottom drains & tank connectors) as it is safe after it cures,

P.s. you can send the 15% discount in the post if you want

Re: New Polyurethane Sealant For Ponds
I take it that since you say it is fish safe once cured it is only any good on brand new builds, and not for any fixes that you may want to do with an up and running operation? (I currently use CT1, 4 times the price, but cures underwater and is fish safe immediately)
Thanks

Sharky09- Yes it is offer starts 19 July 2013 and ends 31August.
Andyfish2000- CT1 is MS Polymer based which although can be formulated as food grade its chemical composition means its not been okayed by the labs as fish safe. My advice would be to confirm with CT1 that they are guaranteeing it as fish safe I.e. although chemical components used are harmful they are not to a degree that would cause long term side effects to the aquatic environment.

My local Koi dealer has ben using it on builds and also selling it so I had assumed it was fine. The link below to the CT1 website also states it is OK to use.

Fair enough Andyfish2000 if CT1 have tested it and are happy to accept liability its up to them.

Re: New Polyurethane Sealant For Ponds
Thanks for the info, always good to have alternative items on the market for koi ponds that are not going to clear out your wallet.
I was a fan of the Siroflex LM and it was a shame to see it go, thanks for the heads up on the new option, i’ll be looking to replace a pond window next year so im glad there is an alternative to Goldseal as the price of that would be more than the window.
Regards
