WINTER POND COVERS PICTURES / LINKS…
I thought it would be a good idea to put a sticky up of winter covers from other sites and members on here seeing as there seems to be alot of posts about winter covers .
PLEASE ADD any pictures of your own covers or LINKS to diy ones if you don,t own the picture/content …
I will transfer the post to the hints and tips section in due course and tidy it up so it ends up as a section just for pond covers for future members reference ..

Is that polycarb gripped on the verticals by the thin lengths of timber Mark?

high mart. there are 3 frames they are made from 2″ x 2″ timber, the polycarb then fixed to frames, the wooden strips just tidy it up, the 3 sections can be unbolted and removed to leave the front and side open in the summer when we get a decent one

Re: WINTER POND COVERS PICTURES / LINKS…
Here is my attempt at covers using the polycarb that I got out of a skip (quad wall).
I need to cut a window in one piece so that I can inspect/feed the fish.
Not brilliant but should keep out the wind chill. I am going to wrap the pod and vortex in insulation and the pipes I can get too in bubble wrap (much better than last year as I had nothing).

Re: WINTER POND COVERS PICTURES / LINKS…
Hi All,
Here is one of our pond covers that lift on/off in 2 sections.
and the other side …
and inside that side…..
Having said that i am in the process of changing it all having removed the roof this year but it may give some ideas for people, the doors all slide open for venting during the day and are closed at night.

Stephster,
Do you work for the company that you like to promote in your posts?
Be honest now.

Re: WINTER POND COVERS PICTURES / LINKS…
Ferny,
I like that, have you fixed the batons to your coping stones at all?
I’m currently working out how to do my polycarbonate covers and a frame like yours seems the most suitable option for me but I have concerns about it all blowing away!
