Yes just enough to move it. Don”t have it bubbling away like a witches cauldron as if you do it will take longer to mature & you will probably have lingering Nitrite for a long time.
In fact I prefer to have the air pump feeding it on a timer so that it is only aerated for 30 mins a day.
This way it seems to mature a lot quicker & Nitrite dissappears a lot quicker & the 30 minute aeration is long enough to stop mulm building up in the bottom of the outer bio chamber.
